Pricing Freight Matrix

Freight rate assessments for approximately 500 dirty, clean and chemical tanker trading routes for the VLCC, Suezmax, Aframax/LR2, Panamax/LR1 and MR tanker segments.  These freight rate assessments are made using industry-standard practices including Worldscale or US $ Lumpsum and available on a Worldscale, lumpsum or dollars/ton basis.  Assessments are developed by McQuilling’s global reach of brokerage services, maintained in proprietary data sets.

Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) earning calculations available for the major tanker trade routes on various engine designs (eco, non-eco, scrubber).

Time charter rates available for 1-YR, 2-YR, 3-YR and 5-YR contracts, updated weekly.

Asset prices, updated monthly available for 7 tanker classes, including assessments for NB, 5-YR, 10-YR and Scrap Values.

Demurrage rate assessments for major loading regions on a US$/day basis, for VLCC, Suezmax, Aframax, Panamax, LR2, LR1, MR2 and MR1.  Assessments leverage McQuilling’s global reach of brokerage services and proprietary data sets.

Daily lighterage rates for USG crude export activity.  These assessments are made on the basis of an Aframax-sized tanker.

Vessel Daily Status

Vessel daily status(VDS) records for tankers 27,500 Dwt and above.

Global ton-mile/ton-day data for five vessel classes derived from remotely-sensed daily vessel position data for tankers 27,500 Dwt and above. The vessel classes are: VLCC, Suezmax, Aframax, LR2, Panamax, LR1, MR2 and MR1.

Open positions leveraging McQuilling’s global reach of brokerage services from vessel operators, owners and trusted third party sources for eight vessel classes for tankers 27,500 deadweight and above. “Open positions” reflect the “Commercially Available” vessel positions, i.e; port name, McQuilling geographical zone, waypoint, or a generally accepted place for positioning such as “Miss River”, from which a vessel can sail in ballast for its next cargo. Some elements of an open position may not be reported timely due to confidentiality requirements.

Fleet Flux is the tonnage supply and demand data for a given period across eight vessel classes for tankers 27,500 deadweight and above. Each record includes starting and ending inventory baselines, additions, deletions, and adjustments for the period.

Trade Information

Spot voyage fixture information as reported by McQuilling’s global reach of brokerage services for eight vessel classes for tankers 27,500 deadweight and above. Fixtures record contain commercial and logistical data elements detailing a single voyage charter party transaction. The volume of fixtures reported on a daily basis will vary with market activity and number approximately 25,000 annually. Some of the data elements of a fixture, or the entire fixture record may be withheld, or reported with a delay, due to confidentiality requirements.
